Voting Rights

Individualists believe it’s the government’s role to ensure every citizen is able to vote and that their vote counts. This includes opening more polling stations, extending polling over weekends, and enabling vote by mail. It also means strengthening anti-gerrymandering laws, getting rid of the electoral college in favor of a direct popular election, and proportional representation in both houses of Congress. Anything that impairs an individual’s right to vote in a free and fair election undermines the foundations of democracy.
